Val-Tignes ski area
With its 300 kilometers of variable slopes and 1900 meters of elevation gain, accessible off-piste routes and large snowparks, the Val-Tignes ski area is one of the largest and most renowned in Europe.
The Val D’Isere and Tignes domain has some of the best snow conditions in Europe, with its high altitude the slopes are skiable from Mid November until sunny May.
With not just one but two glaciers in the area (Glacier du Pisaillas in Val and the Grand Motte in Tignes), you are guaranteed snow and breathtaking views for your ski holiday .
With its adaptable pistes you will find something to suit all levels in both resorts, from the beginner tranquil area to the famous Face de Bellevarde (a difficult black run used for the downhill ski championships).
Packed full of bars, restaurants and clubs including the infamous Folie Douce, you'll find plenty to keep you smiling on and off the slopes. Val D’Isère village itself is a mix of old and new with plenty of snowy streets and shops for a relaxed afternoon stroll.
For non skiers you will find plenty to do in both villages in Winter and Summer. They are not only linked by skiable pistes but also by a regular bus. Tignes has a beautiful lake in the centre of the village offering many activities such as ice diving or dog sledding, but if relaxing is more your style there are plenty of cafes to visit , where you can take in all the views with a hot chocolate in hand.
