Via Ferrata

Via Ferrata (1)

A Via Ferrata or ‘iron path’ in Italian is a series of climbing routes found in the Alps. It is a protected climbing route, built with a steel cable rail fixed to the rock, metal steps, ladders, suspension bridges and zip wires.

This sport does not necessarily require previous climbing experience but you will need to be in good physical condition and have no fear of heights.

The two Via Ferrata of Val D'Isère hold a breathtaking views of the village , or on clear days the Lac du Chevril. They are open to everyone, young and old; or beginners or advanced climbers.

Indeed, each of them has various levels of difficulty, with loopholes for those who do not wish to do the course as a whole.
