High Trail Vanoise 2021

One of the most awaited weekend of the summer season is the High Trail Vanoise. 

It is a unique trail organized in Val d'Isère and which gathers all the lovers of mountain running whatever their level. 

The trail is divided into 8 completely different races, which offers the possibility to everyone to cross the most beautiful landscapes of the Vanoise with a race adapted to each level.  

For the more experienced, come on Saturday July 10th from 4am to face one of the most demanding race of the weekend; the High Trail Vanoise for a distance of 70km and 5.400m of positive altitude change. The 6 Cols trail will start a few hours later and will offer the best panorama views on the Haute Tarentaise and the Maurienne valleys with the natural reserve of La Sassière crossing, or the climbing of the Grand Pissaillas glacier. 

The day of Saturday will end with the children's race aged between 7 and 9 years old and the teenagers from 10 to 15 years old who will appreciate the delicious snack offered at the end of their effort.  

The following trails and races will be on Sunday with the famous Vertical Kilometer (KV) on the mythical Face de Bellevarde which is on the calendar of the FFA French Championships. A steep ascent awaits the passionate runners and the licensees with 1.000m of positive altitude change and an individual stopwatch until Bellevarde peak (2827m high). 

The Balcons de Val trail will also take place on Sunday morning for a discovery of Val d'Isère between lake, forest and valleys. It will be followed by The solidarity race organized by the Odyssea association to contribute with this sporting message for the fight against breast cancer. The amounts of the registrations will be totally paid to the association.
