Vincent Guerlais, one of the best french masters in pastry and chocolaterie, has imagined in 2010 a small and a local amateur Macarons contest. This competition has grown and became international. In fact, selections took place in Japan, Canada, Italie, and Belgium.

The final will be held in Val d'Isère for its 9th edition, from 1:00pm, Sunday 28th of April in the congress center, Henri Oreiller. This final has been organized by Patrick Chevallot, "Meilleur Ouvrier de France" from Val d'Isère, and it will be supported by Mrs. Mercotte, french food critic, blogger and broadcaster with the most famous French Pastry chef, Cyril Lignac, in the well-known tv show : "Le Meilleur Pâtissier".

The 17 final candidates, selected from 300 competitors from 5 different countries will have to prepare at home 15 sweet macarons, equally-sized and having similar taste and flavour. The jury will ask them to make these similar macarons in 3 hours in front of them. Jury members have been revealed on the competition Facebook page : https://www.facebook.com/CMMacaronAmateur/

The competition offers a free entry to everyone with an award ceremony at 06pm, presented by Alexis-Olivier Sbriglio, culinary journalist.
