Classicaval festival

Since 1993, "Classicaval", a festival for classical music lovers takes place every year within the baroque church of Val D'Isère : "Saint Bernard de Menthon". 

This cultural festival, previously called "Musicaval", or "Les Classiques de Val D'Isère" have seen performances from the greatest classical musicians,  thanks to the hard work and the engagement of four artistic directors :  Anne-Lise Gastaldi, Elena Rozanova, David Lefèvre, and Frédéric Lagarde. 

"Classicaval" festival takes places over two parts : Opus 1 is during January, and opus 2 unfolds every year in March. 

Opus 1 : 21st -24th January 2019

It is conducted under the responsibility of Anne-Lise Gastaldi (artistic director). This 26th edition will be happening during 4 days, with a busy concert program to be enjoyed within the baroque church of Val D'Isère, which offers a breathtaking acoustic. 

Opus 2 : 11th - 14th March 2019

Frédéric Lagarde is responsible of the artistic direction of this second opus, which also occurs in 4 days. The snow piano discovery on Wednesday the 13th of March will be the highlight of this opus. 

Festival tickets are on sale the Saturday before each opus at the Tourist office, or you can buy them directly on spot if you come half an hour before the concert.
