New gondola in La Daille

Since 1966, La Daille's current gondola travels above the OK (Oreiller Killy) slope, the mythical "CRITERIUM de la Première Neige" competition run.  It is going to be totally refurbished for Winter 2018 - 2019. 

As early as the ski resort opens its doors, the "Critérium de la Première Neige" will benefit of these brand new facilities on this legendary slope. 

The 4-seater gondola lifts will be replaced by 50 cutting-edge design 10-seater gondolas, designed by POMA, a french company specialized in cable-supported transport system.  They have been created by the Italian designer, Pininfarina, who also works for Ferrari and Maserati. 

These latest-generation gondolas have heated seats, sliding doors, and wifi.  The glazing permits to benefit of a stunning panoramic view, and more space inside the cabin. 

La Daille gondola lift will be the first in France equipped by 50 "Symphony Premium" gondolas, and one VIP 4-seater cabin. 

The overall passenger transport will increase  up to 2,800 people an hour, compared to 933 today. The rising will be reduced to a half: 4min3O compared to 9min until now.  

Thanks to the increasing cabins capacity, 40 pylons will be removed, and will permit to streamline the ski lift fleet, and having a clearer view on the landscape.  Also, the actual towering pylons will be replaced by tighter ones.  

A 100m² will be built on La Daille ski lift departure. It will have a covered information and ski sales area, as well as public toilets.  This new reception area will substitute the actual Funival skipass sales point.
